PACE’s Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) is a men’s-only treatment program tailored to the needs of clients recovering from addiction, dual diagnoses or mental illness. Expertise includes, but is not limited to: gambling addictions, process addictions, relationship conflicts, depression, anxiety, trauma and other behavioral health issues.
The Typical PACE IOP Client
PACE outpatient programs are tailored to the unique needs of the individual. IOP is ideal for men who are stable enough to live independently or in a sober house. Clients requiring medical detox or facing severe substance misuse disorders should consider a residential treatment option, instead.
The ideal PACE IOP client includes:
- Residents of sober communities
- Clients who have recently relapsed
- Young adults & young professionals
- College students & men pursuing vocational certificates
- Clients with a dual diagnosis
- Clients with a non-substance-related behavioral illness
Flexible IOP Scheduling & Requirements
At every stage of therapy, PACE’s credentialed clinicians act as your advocates: partnering with you to achieve best-possible recovery outcomes while accommodating family, work, volunteering and education. Our IOP program is intensive, yet flexible, and our core curriculum is offered Monday through Friday evenings from 4 to 7 p.m. Tailored to the specific needs of individual clients, IOP schedules include:
- Nightly Group Therapy Sessions
- Weekly Individual Therapy Sessions
- Weekly Individual Case Management
- Family Therapy (as needed)
- Recovery Coaching (as needed)
Case Management That Works For You
PACE Recovery Center case managers are encouraging and supportive, displaying total dedication to our clients’ growth and well-being. We believe every PACE client deserves best-possible support in reward for their courageous decision to pursue recovery.
During one-on-one therapy sessions, we offer clients the option of meeting at their sober living home or another convenient, neutral location. It is not uncommon to see our case managers helping with school applications, assisting with resumes, helping with interview preparation, or offering additional support as clients pursue their educational or vocational goals.
Orange County Dual-Diagnosis Specialty
All PACE programs emphasize management of behavioral and mental health issues like anxiety, trauma and depression. IOP treatment is beneficial to clients returning home or living in sober communities, since it gives them a chance to stay plugged into the support system provided by our clinicians.
As the challenges of life (and the symptoms of the mood or behavioral disorder) ebb and flow, it’s important to continue one-on-one meetings with a dedicated counselor. This therapy continuity helps men process what is going on at home, at work or in relationships, and allows them to seek additional support when necessary.
Post Relapse Treatment in our IOP Program
Many men who have made great strides in their recovery still experience a relapse, so our IOP helps them address the relapse and get back on track as quickly as possible. During PACE IOP, clients work with clinical treatment experts to process the root cause of a relapse and establish guardrails to avoid future missteps.
Group Therapy & Skills Focus
PACE Recovery’s IOP groups meet several times a week to focus on life skills, relationship and recovery topics like these:
- Anger Management
- Guilt & Shame
- Grief & Loss
- Living with a Mental Health Diagnosis
- Recovering from Trauma
- Relapse Prevention Education
