Orange County IOP

Intensive Outpatient Program Details

PACE’s Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) is a men’s-only treatment program tailored to the needs of those who are in recovery from addiction. We also address related issues such as:

  • Gambling and process addictions
  • Relationship issues
  • Behavioral health issues (depression, anxiety, trauma, etc.)

The men in our IOP Program will participate in therapeutic processes facilitated by our doctorate and masters level facilitators and participants will consistently be engaged and accountable to their peers and counselors.

Flexible IOP Scheduling & Requirements

We are your advocates: partnering with you to achieve best-possible recovery outcomes while accommodating family, work, volunteer, and education commitments.

Our IOP program is intensive, yet the scheduling and previous treatment requirements are flexible. The core curriculum is offered during the evenings, Mondays through Fridays from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM.   Tailored to the specific needs of individual clients, IOP schedules include:

  • Nightly group therapy sessions
  • Weekly individual therapy sessions
  • Weekly individual case management
  • Family therapy (as needed)
  • Recovery coaching (as needed)

Case Management that Really Works For You

Our case managers are very encouraging to the men they work with.  We display great dedication to their growth and well being, because we feel they deserve the best support possible to reward their courageous decision to pursue recovery.

We frequently meet with clients for our ‘one on one’ sessions at their sober living home or elsewhere that it is convenient for them.  It’s not uncommon to see our case managers helping with school applications or transcripts, assisting with resumes, or whatever else might assist the client in accomplishing his professional (or educational) goals.

Dual Diagnosis

As with all of our programs, we place great emphasis on the managing of behavioral and mental health issues like anxiety, trauma, and depression.  IOP treatment provides great benefit to our clients who are returning to their homes in the area (or living in a sober living home) and want to stay ‘plugged in’ to the support system that our clinical staff provides.

As the challenges of life (and the symptoms of the mood or behavioral disorder) ebb and flow, it’s great to have recurring one on one meetings with a dedicated counselor who can help process what’s going on in the man’s life and help make decisions about seeking additional support if necessary.

Post Relapse Treatment in our IOP Program

Many men who have made great strides in their recovery still experience a relapse. The important thing is to address the relapse and get back on track as quickly as possible.  That’s why men who have relapsed like participating in our IOP Program because it provides involvement with our clinical treatment experts so the man can process the root cause of the relapse and guard against it moving forward.

Group Therapy & Skills Focus

Our IOP groups meet several times a week to focus on a variety of life skills, relationship, and recovery topics, such as:

  • Anger Management
  • Guilt & Shame
  • Living with a Mental Health Diagnosis
  • Recovering from Trauma
  • Relapse Prevention Education
  • 12-Step Focused Curriculum
  • Cross-Addiction Prevention
  • Codependency & Boundaries
  • Grief & Loss
  • Mindfulness & Meditation
  • Having Fun in Recovery
