Huntington Beach Residential Programs
Residential treatment for addiction, dual diagnosis and mental illness is recommended for clients requiring a structured, intensive program with 24/7 care and supervision. PACE residential extended care is gender-specific, and our male-only residential rehab welcomes clients struggling with addictions, histories of overdose, recent relapses or mental illnesses. We also work with residential clients who need medical detox before beginning early recovery.
The length of residential stay depends on a client’s individual needs. With programs lasting from 90 days onward, PACE takes addiction severity, overall health history and family/employment commitments into account when recommending a program length. Throughout the process, we act as your advocate and work with your insurance provider to prevent cost from becoming a barrier to treatment.
PACE Orange County residential addiction and mental health programs include:
Extended Residential Care. Studies associate longer treatment length with increased sobriety success. PACE’s extended inpatient program supports long-term recovery through its gender-specific, clinically sophisticated treatment approach. Extended care is a good option for clients managing a dual diagnosis, recovering from multiple relapses, or needing a more controlled environment.
Transitional Living. PACE Recovery Center’s transitional living program is a gender-specific alcohol and drug rehab for men recovering from chemical dependency and behavioral health issues. While attending addiction or mental health treatment, clients live in a supportive environment and learn to manage their career and education goals. The program includes group and individual therapy, life-skills development, school or vocational counseling and 12-step education.
Young Adult Program. PACE Recovery Center specializes in working with young adult males recovering from chemical dependency or behavioral health issues. Emphasis is placed on developing life skills, continuing education, and obtaining or retaining employment. The goal of our gender-specific young adult program is to prepare clients for a healthy, balanced life outside of residential treatment.
Intensive Outpatient Program. When residential treatment is not an option, PACE Recovery Center offers an intensive outpatient track designed flexibly around work and family commitments.
The PACE Process
To help clients overcome substance misuse and pursue sustained sobriety, PACE introduces principles of time-tested 12-step programs like Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) and Narcotics Anonymous (NA), as well as evidence-based 12-step alternatives. PACE Recovery Center is built on a bio-psycho-social-spiritual foundation that is integral to recovery. Through education, psychotherapy, 12-step programs, integrative health and physical healing, clients gain deeper insight into the origins of their addiction.
PACE programs incorporate empirically based treatment modalities, which include but are not limited to:
- Individual Therapy
- Individual Drug & Alcohol Counseling
- Relapse Prevention
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
- Dialectic Behavioral Therapy (DBT)
- Family Therapy
- Grief & Loss

Relapse Skills Awareness
During their long- or short-term residential stay at PACE Recovery Center, clients examine cultural, social and personal relapse triggers and develop a relapse prevention plan with acquired and practiced skills. Relapse analysis and relapse prevention are extremely effective with clients who have substance addictions, compulsive behaviors, and mental health disorders. That is why relapse prevention is an essential component of our men’s addiction treatment program.
