At PACE Recovery Center, we incorporate our philosophy into an inpatient, primary care substance abuse program with specialized clinical treatment tracks to address all components of the disease of addiction and underlying behavioral health issues. Our approach utilizes a model integrating philosophies, research and clinical practices from medical, psychiatric-psychological, social, familial, and self-help communities to treat the following addictions:
- Prescription drugs
- Opiates – Heroin
- Designer Drugs
- Club Drugs
To help clients overcome these addictions, the principles of 12-Step programs including Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) and Narcotics Anonymous (NA) are introduced to sustain life long healing and sobriety. PACE Recovery Center is based on a bio-psycho-social-spiritual foundation, which is integral for lifelong sobriety. Through education, psychotherapy, 12 Step Programs, integrative health and physical healing, clients will gain deeper insight into the origins of their addiction. In a safe and comfortable environment, clients will identify associated affective or emotional components and their impact and influence on their addictive behavior and on the identity of their addicted self. In turn, our treatment facilitates the reintegration into life and emphasizes the true transformation out of the addicted identity and into recovery through integrative education, insight and relapse prevention.

Intensive Individual Therapy
Through intensive, one-on-one addiction psychotherapy, under the care of licensed Master Level Therapists, clients learn about and become aware of their experiences with addiction and behavioral health issues. They begin to identify personal core beliefs associated with negative sense of self, which exacerbates self defeating behaviors such as depression, anxiety, anger and rage, sexual acting out, and drug and alcohol use. Clients begin to challenge these self-destructive beliefs and ultimately restructure them into a healthier and more adaptive way of living free from mood altering substances. Each client's treatment plan is closely monitored, modified when necessary and evaluated by their Therapist and the clinical treatment team.
Intensive Group Psychotherapy
Our alcohol and drug rehab for men recognizes that group therapy has been a core aspect of drug and alcohol addiction recovery for several decades, and it has proven to be very effective. Clients that participate in group therapy have a higher rate of accountability regarding their own behaviors. Members of these groups are able to challenge irrational belief systems by sharing similar struggles and solutions. PACE Recovery Center recognizes the importance of our clients learning to develop relationships that are meaningful to help promote long term-sobriety. Working in group addiction therapy is a great way to experiment with new behaviors. Clients can try new ways of thinking and relating in a safe environment before going out into the real world. Suffering from addiction and behavioral health issues can create a sense of loneliness. Participating in group therapy allows individuals to develop healthy relationships and challenge old self-defeating thoughts and behaviors.
- Help reduce denial, process ambivalence, and facilitate acceptance of their addicted identity.
- Increase motivation for sobriety and other changes.
- Treat the emotional conditions that often accompany drinking (e.g., anxiety, depression).
- Increase the capacity to recognize, anticipate, and cope with the situations that may precipitate addictive behavior.
- Process societal pressures placed upon Men.
Relapse Skills Awareness
Clients will examine cultural, social and personal relapse triggers and develop a relapse prevention plan with acquired and practiced skills. Relapse analysis and relapse prevention are extremely effective with clients who have substance addictions, compulsive behaviors, and mental health disorders. That is why relapse prevention is an essential component of our men's addiction treatment program.
