At Pace Recovery Center, we put a strong emphasis on the therapeutic process in treatment. To ensure our clients are receiving the most appropriate care possible, PACE is staffed with Doctorates and Masters level therapists, as well as Certified Drug and Alcohol Counselors. Our therapists and counselors are dynamic and eclectic and utilize various evidence-based therapeutic treatment approaches. Therapeutic modalities include, but are not limited to, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Experiential Therapy, and Attachment-Based Therapy.
While at PACE, clients take advantage of individualized one-on-one therapy to address core issues connected to their addiction, as well as any dual diagnosis issues that present themselves. Dual diagnosis is characterized by a client struggling with substance abuse as well as another mental health issue. Such dual diagnosis issues commonly treated at PACE include anxiety, depression, ADD/ADHD, OCD, bipolar disorder, borderline personality disorder, social and attachment issues, etc.
Clients also attend group therapy where they learn about the biology of addiction, behavioral and cross addictions, relapse prevention techniques, cognitive behavioral techniques, relational issues, anxiety and depression management techniques, social issues etc.
Parents are encouraged to attend family therapy with their loved ones at our California rehab center to address how addiction has impacted family members. PACE therapists and counselors are dedicated to helping family members learn about the disease of addiction, provide them with tools to end enabling or co-dependency, and develop new healthy communication patterns in sobriety.
